I was recently invited to be a guest speaker at an event called “Living Book” — and it was such a cool experience! 📚
As a web developer, I got the chance to chat with a curious and engaged crowd full of great questions about what life as a developer is really like.
People asked everything from:
❓ How long does it take to learn web development and get a job?
❓ Do you need a college degree to become a developer?
❓ Is math important in web development?
I loved diving into these questions! The truth is — there’s no single path.
You don’t need a degree to break into tech, and while math can help, it’s definitely not a dealbreaker. Web development is flexible, and you can learn it in your own way, at your own pace.
It was awesome to see so many people genuinely interested in starting a dev career — and I’m always happy to share what I know.
Can’t wait for more events like this!
And of course, big thanks to my personal photographer @marala_sh ☺️
We wrapped up the event on April 14, 2024.
