{"id":326,"date":"2024-04-24T13:53:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-24T13:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ilyasseisov.com\/blog\/?p=326"},"modified":"2025-07-04T05:49:48","modified_gmt":"2025-07-04T05:49:48","slug":"talking-code-at-the-living-book-event-%f0%9f%93%9a%f0%9f%92%bb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ilyasseisov.com\/blog\/talking-code-at-the-living-book-event-%f0%9f%93%9a%f0%9f%92%bb\/","title":{"rendered":"Talking Code at the \u201cLiving Book\u201d Event \ud83d\udcda\ud83d\udcbb"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I was recently invited to be a guest speaker at an event called <em>\u201cLiving Book\u201d<\/em> \u2014 and it was such a cool experience! \ud83d\udcda<br>As a web developer, I got the chance to chat with a curious and engaged crowd full of great questions about what life as a developer is really like.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People asked everything from:<br>\u2753 <em>How long does it take to learn web development and get a job?<\/em><br>\u2753 <em>Do you need a college degree to become a developer?<\/em><br>\u2753 <em>Is math important in web development?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I loved diving into these questions! The truth is \u2014 there\u2019s no single path.<br>You <em>don\u2019t<\/em> need a degree to break into tech, and while math can help, it\u2019s definitely not a dealbreaker.
